El concierto comenzó con una introducción que incorporaba grabaciones de material anterior de los Kinks, con el clásico riff de guitarra de "You Really Got Me" como base. La banda ofreció un set de hora y media con canciones nuevas y clásicos, en la que fue una de las giras más memorables musicalmente de su carrera. Tras varias giras con una elaborada puesta en escena de cinco instrumentos de viento y varios coristas, la banda, con un presupuesto ajustado, mantuvo la formación original de cuatro integrantes con Ian Gibbons en los teclados.

El miembro fundador y baterista de larga trayectoria, Mick Avory, se había marchado en ese momento, y Rob Henrit lo reemplazó. Con Jim Rodford al bajo y la voz, los Kinks contaban ahora con la sección rítmica de la banda británica Argent. Por supuesto, el cofundador y hermano de Ray, Dave Davies, estaba a la guitarra solista. MORAIGA "Subiendo al Sacromonte"

 

MORAIGA rescata una canción inédita de las sesiones de Caminos de Polvo

"Subiendo al Sacromonte", disponible gratuitamente en Bandcamp a partir del 19 de junio. El grupo recupera una de las piezas más evocadoras surgidas durante la grabación del álbum.

El tema instrumental que formó parte del camino, pero finalmente siguió una ruta distinta. 

La historia de esta composición está estrechamente ligada a Granada. Según explica la banda, la idea de la canción surgió precisamente mientras ascendían por las empinadas cuestas del Sacromonte, uno de los lugares más emblemáticos de la ciudad. Aquella experiencia quedó reflejada en una obra que mezcla evocación, paisaje y memoria, elementos muy presentes en el universo creativo de MORAIGA.

El proyecto continúa desarrollando una propuesta musical basada en la fusión entre el rock andaluz clásico y otros lenguajes musicales. Las influencias de grupos fundamentales como Triana, Medina Azahara y Alameda conviven con una marcada presencia de la guitarra española, heredera de la tradición representada por Paco de Lucía.

Esa combinación entre guitarra eléctrica y guitarra española se ha convertido en una de las señas de identidad de MORAIGA, presente en prácticamente todas sus composiciones. Un diálogo constante entre la fuerza del rock progresivo andaluz y la riqueza melódica de la música de raíz.

"Subiendo al Sacromonte" estará disponible para escucha y descarga gratuita en Bandcamp a partir del 19 de junio, como una nueva parada en el camino iniciado con Caminos de Polvo.

Paranoid: El rugido de una humanidad rota bajo el humo de Birmingham

En 1970 el mundo olía a humo, gasolina y desencanto. La resaca del sueño hippie empezaba a pudrirse lentamente mientras las calles de Inglaterra seguían llenas de fábricas apagadas, barrios obreros grises y jóvenes que ya intuían que el futuro no iba a parecerse a las promesas de los años sesenta. En medio de aquella niebla industrial apareció una banda salida de Birmingham que sonaba como una máquina oxidada arrastrándose por el infierno. Se llamaban Black Sabbath.

Y entonces llegó Paranoid.

MORAIGA "Mi voz seguirá" (en memoria de Jesús de la Rosa)

“Mi voz seguirá” nace desde la admiración y el respeto hacia Jesús de la Rosa, alma irrepetible de Triana. En esta canción, MORAIGA mira al pasado con nostalgia, intentando recoger esa mezcla de poesía, sensibilidad y verdad que convirtió al rock andaluz en algo eterno.

Entre guitarras cálidas, atmósferas melancólicas y una letra cargada de sentimiento, el tema habla de esas voces que nunca desaparecen del todo, porque siguen viviendo en quienes las escucharon alguna vez. Más que una simple inspiración, “Mi voz seguirá” es una forma de dar las gracias a una música que marcó generaciones y que todavía hoy sigue iluminando el camino.
