ALAN PARSONS LIVE PROJECT - MADRID 2016 -

La lluvia siempre ha sido un elemento romántico en el arte. Enfatiza los sentimientos, potencia la energía, cala en la sensibilidad humana y puede convertir el ambiente en absolutamente mágico. La noche del jueves, la tormenta logró hacer del concierto de The Alan Parsons Project algo inolvidable.

Pero no hay que desmerecer el resto de los elementos. Siguiendo con la ambientación, un lugar: el jardín Botánico de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, con su frescura y encanto, repleto de refugios improvisados de sequedad. Y, por supuesto, una música que calaba más que la lluvia, que sonaba perfecta, y un grupo que lo dio todo en el escenario, aguantando hasta el final a pesar de las dificultades para terminar de conquistar a un público totalmente entregado.

D.E.P. Nigel Gray - R.I.P. Nigel Gray

Ayer por la tarde tuve una llamada en la que me comunicaban que mi amigo "Nigel Gray" había fallecido el día anterior, consecuencia de un ataque de corazón. 

Para quienes no sepáis que es "Nigel Gray", os diré que fue productor de música y había producido los tres primeros trabajos de "The Police", (Outlandos D'Amour, Reggatta De Blanc y Zenyatta Mondatta), entre otras muchas bandas que habían estado bajo su tutela. 
También es el propietarios de Surrey Sound Studios, que muchos los conoceréis, verdad.

Voy a echar de menos esas "pints" que nos tomábamos hablando de lo que nos gustaba, la música.  Amigo "Nigel", donde quiera que estés, nosotros aquí te damos las gracias por todo lo que has hecho por la música y los buenos ratos que pasamos en tu compañía.

Yesterday evenning I had a call in which I was informed that my friend "Nigel Gray" had died the previous day, due to a heart attack.

For those who do not know him "Nigel Gray," I will say that he was music producer and had produced the first three records of "The Police", (Outlandos D'Amour, Reggatta De Blanc and zenyattà mondatta), among many other bands that had been under his tutelage.
He´s also the owner of Surrey Sound Studios, which many of you will know.

I am going to miss those "pints and galsses of wine" we used to drink talking about what we liked most, "music". "Nigel", my friend, wherever you are, we here we thank you for everything you've done for music and the good times we spent with your company.

La actuación de Adele en Glastonbury Fest. no deja nadie indiferente de hecho desde el primer acorde se metió al publico en el bolsillo. Algo curioso y como ella explica en sus largos chats con el publico, y me da la razón a lo que yo me imaginaba, es que esos largos chats y hablar a esa velocidad es algo que da el miedo escénico, tal y como ella comenta eu uno de infinitas charlas con el respetable!!

IQ - Holland - 2007

IQ fue una de las bandas que, junto con Marillion, Pendragon, Twelfth Night o Pallas siguieron con el rock progresivo de los '70 de bandas como Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Genesis o Yes. El término neo progresivo, acortado a neo prog, fue acuñado por la prensa para describir el sonido de estas bandas, que llegaron incluso a ser acusadas de copiar a los grupos de los '70. IQ nunca ha estado de acuerdo con esta etiqueta, expresando que tienen un amplio y ecléctico rango de influencias musicales. Os dejamos el tour donde presentarían su album "Frequency".
