Su disco de 1968 Odessey and Oracle es considerado actualmente uno de los mejores de la época. Para cuando éste se publicó la banda ya se había disuelto, debido no sólo a las tensiones entre los dos principales compositores, sino también a que no encontraban su mercado siendo ellos un grupo principalmente de singles y ante el auge del LP. La banda se reconcilió en 2013.

Foo Fighters - Pima County Fairgrounds 2003

Fighters es una banda estadounidense de rock formada en la ciudad de Seattle en 1994 por Dave Grohl, ex baterista de Nirvana y Scream.
One by One es el cuarto álbum del grupo Foo Fighters, editado en 2002. Fue la primera grabación del grupo con el guitarrista Chris Shiflett, quien es ahora parte oficial de la banda.
Ganó un Premio Grammy por Mejor Álbum de Rock en 2004. Este disco le dio a los Foo Fighters su primer numero 1 en las listas británicas y un 3 en las estadounidenses. Hasta junio de 2005, One by One había vendido 1.2 millones de unidades en EE. UU. Sin embargo, Dave Grohl ha declarado que éste es su trabajo menos favorito: "Cuatro de las canciones fueron buenas, y las otras siete nunca las volví a tocar en mi vida. Nos apresuramos en grabarlo y nos apresuramos en librarnos de él"

Podcast: La Caravana: 3x04 - Pink Floyd - The Pipper at the gates of Dawn + Animals

En este episodio os ofrecemos algo que no habíamos hecho hasta ahora: hablar de dos discos de un mismo grupo en distintas décadas. Nos ocupamos del disco de debut de los Pink Floyd, "The Pipper at the gates of dawn", que se editó en 1967 y, ya que estamos, vamos a comparar cómo estaba la cosa en la banda tras la publicación de su LP "Animals" del '77; 50 años cumple uno y 40 cumple otro. 
Es tan increible la evoulción de los Pink Floyd en estos 10 años, que cualquiera diría que se trata de dos grupos distintos. En el primero, nos encontramos con un genio a la cabeza (Syd Barret); en el segundo, el genio que se gastaba la cabeza de Roger Waters. 
Grupo imprescindible donde los haya, los Pink Floyd marcaron las bases de la música psicodélica londinense en tiempos de Barret, adelántandose a su tiempo en el concepto de sus shows en vivo y las originales composiciones del malogrado cantante.
Diez años después, se encontraban en la cumbre de su éxito, tras las publicación de grandes obras maestras como "Meddle", "Dark Side of the Moon" o "Wish you were here".
Grabado en su propio estudio, "Animals" supuso un capítulo crítico en la historia de la banda, cada vez más dominada por Waters, que les llevaría inexorablemente al concepto de "The Wall". El final de los setenta, la explosión del punk y las diferencias entre los miembros de la banda, hicieron mella en la banda que, aún así, nos dejó un gran disco que ha ganado valor con el tiempo en la discografía de los Floyd.
El Sr. X guía con mano diestra el volante de la caravana y nos trae unos bootlegs de órdago, tanto de la época Waters como de Barret (escucharemos un fragmento de su último concierto grabado).
Esperamos que lo disfrutéis y que si véis un cerdo volando no le disparéis con una escopeta.

La gira de Sting esta dando bastante de si, mas que nada por la variedad que hay en el setlist, (Por lo menos al inicio de la gira, conforme la gira fue discurriendo, el setlist se convirtió en mas anodino y predecible). Por cierto el sonido es realmente bueno, muy aconsejable. El show tuvo lugar en Miami Beach, Florida, The Fillmore Miami Beach at The Jackie Gleason Theatre.

Lynyrd Skynyrd editó en mayo de 1996 el álbum en directo Southern Knights, compuesto por varios temas grabados en vivo el año anterior.​ Este trabajo fue editado únicamente en Europa y su repercusión en las listas fue nula.​ Poco después, Mike Estes y Ed King abandonaron la formación (el último debido a dolencias cardíacas),​ y fueron reemplazados por Rickey Medlocke (líder de Blackfoot y antiguo miembro de Lynyrd Skynyrd) y Hughie Thomasson (vocalista y guitarrista de Outlaws), ​ además por esas fechas también ingresó una nueva corista, Carol Chase.

Chris Cornell - O-Baren, Stockholm, Sweden, 2006

Chris Cornell fue una de las mejores voces de la música rock, por desgracia falleció el pasado 18 de mayo, a la edad de 52 años.
Subimos un excelente concierto acústico con un repertorio diversificado en O-Baren, un club de música de Estocolmo, Suecia, con temas de Audioslave, Soundgarden, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Elvis Costello, Temple Of The Dog y Led Zeppelin.
