Black Sabbath - Heaven And Hell (1980)

Heaven & Hell  es el noveno álbum de Black Sabbath publicado en abril de 1980. Es el primer álbum del vocalista Ronnie James Dio (exmiembro de Rainbow) en la banda inglesa, y el primero con el productor Martin Birch.

Heaven and Hell se convirtió en uno de los álbumes más vendidos de Black Sabbath después de la crisis que había sufrido con el despido de su anterior vocalista, Ozzy Osbourne. Para la grabación de este disco se recurrió a Geoff Nicholls como bajista, puesto que Butler había estado amenazando con dejar la banda y no participó en las sesiones de composición y ensayos del disco. Cuando Butler decidió quedarse en la banda, Nicholls pasó a tocar el teclado, un puesto que ocuparía en los conciertos del grupo durante veinte años, a pesar de que solo fue miembro oficial durante menos de un año.

Cuando se publicó el álbum, el baterista Bill Ward dejó el grupo debido a problemas personales y a sus problemas con el alcohol y las drogas. Su sustituto fue Vinny Appice.

Black Sabbath - Mob Rules (1981)

Mob Rules es el décimo álbum de estudio de Black Sabbath, publicado el 4 de noviembre de 1981 a través de la discográfica Vertigo en Europa y en Norteamérica por Warner Bros. Este trabajo es el primero con Vinny Appice, que entró en la banda en sustitución del batería original Bill Ward y el último con el vocalista de Ronnie James Dio hasta Dehumanizer (1992).

Al igual que su antecesor, Heaven and Hell, el álbum tuvo una buena acogida por parte de crítica y público. Entre las canciones incluidas destacan los sencillos «The Mob Rules» y «Turn Up the Night», que alcanzaron el top 50 en la lista de sencillos del Reino Unido.

Live evil es el segundo álbum en directo de Black Sabbath. El álbum fue lanzado como LP doble en diciembre de 1982, y fue grabado durante la gira de presentación del disco de estudio Mob Rules.

Este trabajo es considerado por los críticos como uno de los mejores álbumes de heavy metal en directo de todos los tiempos, debido a su fenomenal repertorio, y a la técnica vocal del talentoso Ronnie James Dio. En el álbum se pueden apreciar temas de la era de Black sabbath con Ozzy Osbourne vocalizados por el gran Ronnie James Dio tales como "Black Sabbath", "Paranoid", "Children Of the grave", "War pigs", "Iron Man" o "N.I.B."

Durante las mezclas de este trabajo se originó la segunda ruptura en la alineación de Black sabbath, como consecuencia Ronnie James Dio (voz) y Vinnie Appice (batería) abandonaron la banda. Dio fue sustituido por Ian Gillan (ex Deep Purple) y, para encargarse de la batería regresó el percusionista original Bill Ward.

Live! Bootleg (1978)

Live! Bootleg es un álbum en vivo de Aerosmith, su debut fue en el año de 1978.

Mientras la mayor parte de presentaciones fueron tomadas de los conciertos en 1977 y en 1978, los covers "I Ain't Got You" de The Yardbirds y "Mother Popcorn" de James Brown fueron tomados desde una transmisión de radio, de una interpretación en Boston en marzo 20 del 73'.

El diseño del álbum fue hecho imitando a algo pobre, ofrecido por una contemporánea Disquera de bootlegs, incluso llegando al punto de dar una lista de canciones incorrecta un ejemplo claro, la canción "Draw The Line" está incluida en el disco pero no aparece listada. Así como también, "Strangers in the Night" es listada luego de "Train Kept a-Rollin'" pero no aparece incluida.

Este disco también presenta una de las primeras versiones de Aerosmith tocando la canción de The Beatles "Come Together" (La cual interpretaron en el año de 1978 en la película "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band") y también la primera aparición en un disco de Richie Supa en "Chip Away the Stone" (La versión estudio de esta canción hizo su debut en el año de 1988 en la compilación llamada "Gems").
