El 25 de noviembre de 2016, Deep Purple anunció que lanzaría al año siguiente un nuevo disco con el título de Infinite.

El álbum finalmente fue publicado el 7 de abril de 2017 58​con «Time for Bedlam» como su primer sencillo, lanzado a la venta el 3 de febrero de ese mismo año, sin embargo, el videoclip del tema se estrenó un poco antes precisamente el 14 de diciembre de 2016.59​ En el álbum sobresalen las canciones «Time for Bedlam», «All I Got is You», «The Surprising», «Birds of Prey» y «Johnny's Band».

Deep Purple The Long Goodbye Tour 2017 BBC Radio Theatre, London

El baterista Ian Paice sufrió un derrame cerebral leve en junio de 2016, que afectó su mano derecha, nudillos, pulgares y dedos. Esto llevó a la cancelación de algunos conciertos de Deep Purple en Escandinavia, y fueron los primeros shows de la banda que se vio obligado a cancelar desde la formación de Deep Purple en 1968.

Deep Purple - Whoosh! (2020)

El 26 de febrero de 2020, Deep Purple informó que lanzaría en junio de ese mismo año un nuevo álbum con el título de Whoosh!. El 20 de marzo se lanzó el primer sencillo y además primer videoclip titulado «Throw My Bones».​ Más tarde se reveló que el disco Whoosh! sería publicado el 12 de junio del año en curso, sin embargo, el día 3 de abril la banda anunció que debido a la pandemia del coronavirus, en que la industria discográfica también fue afectada, decidieron cambiar la fecha de lanzamiento del álbum al 7 de agosto del mismo año. El 1 de mayo la banda lanzó «Man Alive» como segundo sencillo y además segundo videoclip del nuevo álbum. El álbum finalmente fue publicado el 7 de agosto de 2020​. En el disco destacan los temas «Throw My Bones», «Man Alive», «Nothing at All», «The Power of the Moon», «The Long Way Round» y «Step by Step».
